Yashita Kandhari ’22
Yashita was interested in the position of staff members on Davidson’s campus and began this research with Savanna for her Sociology class on the Feminization of Poverty. She is a double major in Sociology and Gender and Sexuality Studies and is interested in studying postcolonial theory. Yashita is also working on a project to build a digital timeline of student activism on campus at Davidson. She can be reached at yakandhari@davidson.edu.
Savanna Vest ’22
Savanna began this project with Yashita during their sociology class on the Feminization of Poverty. She is interested in continuing her studies in sociology, gender & sexuality studies, and educational studies. Savanna’s past research interests are heavily engaged in feminist discourse, and she will be a fellow for the Davidson College Humanities Program for the 2019-2020 academic year.
